In January of 2016, Pastor Robles and his wife left the ministry, New Wine, which he was the founder of in 2005. He had no plans to continue pastoring. But in the following weeks, he was given a prophetic word on 3 separate occasions, and each one pointed toward beginning a new ministry. Together, along with 4 other families, they began to birth a new vision, a new ministry…and it would be called Resurrected Life Christian Church.
On March 6, 2016, about 60 people came together and held our very first church service together. We were blessed by the pastor at New Hope Christian Church, who allowed us to use their facility for about a year. Then the pastor of Rey de Reyes allowed us to rent their facility for the next 4-1/2 years. We prayed about what area God wanted us to be in for this next step in ministry. Many did not want to continue in the Poteet area, but it seemed like we kept hitting dead ends in our search for a property. In God’s perfect timing, He led us to a building. And even though it was in Poteet, we knew it was from God by the way He aligned the steps to purchase it. We signed and purchased a building at the end of 2017, but it took 4 more years to complete small steps toward getting into it. In June 2021, the pastor at Rey de Reyes notified us that the building was sold, and we would need to leave within 2 weeks. Our leadership met and unanimously agreed that we would go into our new building “as is” and continue working on it to finish it out.
On August 1, 2021 we had our first service in our new building. We had no AC (in the heat of August!), no running water, no interior walls, and we used our folding chairs. But we were happy, excited, and united to finally be in our home. For the next 4 months, we continued to get our hands dirty and worked hard. On December 26, 2021, we held our Grand Opening service with the final completion of our home! To God be the Glory!
In September 2025, we launched a vision for a “Play With Purpose” campaign to raise funds to build a play and sports area for our younger generation. October 2025, we had a ribbon cutting for a new playground for our children. Then in January 2026, we opened and had a ribbon cutting for our new sport court.
